Food and activity diary
Ellen Says: Food diaries help you become more aware of your eating and activity habits, and problem areas. They give you a basis from which to plan changes and set goals, and allow you to look back and see what you've changed over time. This can be very motivating.
A food and activity diary will also encourage you to make conscious choices about what you eat and do - writing it down gives you the chance to think twice before you act. This is one of the most useful things you can do to help you gain control your weight.
Write down everything you eat and drink over the day.
It's hard to remember what you've eaten at the end of the day, so try to record things as you go.
It can also help to make a note of any thoughts or feelings linked to eating, especially if you find you often eat for comfort or when you're not actually hungry.
Make a note, too, of any activity you do over the day that lasts for at least ten minutes.
Writing down everything you eat and drink can be difficult. The more honest you are, the more it will help you. It can take a little while to get used to and sometimes it may seem like a waste of time, but it's worth the effort.
If things are going well, you may find you only need to keep it now and then, or if your weight loss goes off track.
People who successfully lose weight and keep it off monitor what they eat and how active they are. This could be in the form of a diary, or in their head. It's a matter of finding out what works best for you

Leaving in Fear
Ellen Says: Sex offenders have been a hot topic in New Jersey,according to my long lost friend Casey. There is a registered sex offender that lives in the same street wherein they live for a month now . The parents where getting worried because the sex offender was hanging around outside.
She was truthfully afraid of the sex offender and what he might do to her two teenage daughter. I told her not to worry about this guy ,there is a better way to deal with a sex offender. New Jersey sex offender reports can help to protect her two precious daughter. Leaving in fear can't do something to beat the sex offender. She might not leave normally with fear.Mass awareness can beat any sex offenders.

Ways to relax, unwind and loosen up
Ellen Says: Over the last few weeks I have really been struggling to relax and unwind at the end of the day. My stress levels have been high and my sleep has been restless. I realized that so many of us are struggling to relax. For this reason I have compiled the ultimate list of ways to relax, unwind and loosen up before, during and after work. Enjoy!
Go outside
Get fresh air
Get sunlight
Meditate on the breath
Breathe deeply
Watch some TV
Listen to classical music
Go to the gym
Eat more fruit
Go for a walk in the city
Get a fruit milkshake
Talk to a friend on the phone
Strengthen your Facebook addiction
Do some deep muscle stretches

Summer Allergy
Ellen Says: Skin allergies, medically termed "allergic contact dermatitis" occur mostly in summer because this is the time when all types of allergenic factors and particles are over-spread outdoors and indoors. People with sensitive skin often get skin allergies as a consequence of the epidermis coming into contact with allergens.Summer allergy can also be caused by outdoor allergen such as grass pollen, weed pollen or mold spores. The allergy caused by these factors is called airborne outdoor allergy. This type of summer allergy is tightly linked with the plant rash that can develop from coming into contact with ivy and poison ivy, poison sumac, poison oak, daffodils, gingko tea fruit, primrose, nettles, alyssum etc.
If you want to treat a rash the first rule is not to scratch it because it will get worse and may need medications afterwards. Most of the times, rashes go away without any type of treatment. However, if one develops more serious symptoms, the person should see a physician.
Herbal treatments are also very beneficial against rash: lime juice, sandal wood, rose water, poppy seeds. The intake of leafy vegetables or fruits such as plums, melons, oranges, apples, grapes can ameliorate skin allergy symptoms, too.
Tiny treasures
Ellen Says: Being a mother is the hardest job one can have. And as a mother of three children I can say that it is the best accomplishment I have in my life.
It’s hard for me to think on how raised them especially on the time when they were dependent on me. I never had a good sleep when they were young and there was time when Rj cried, Renz and Rallione cried also...... and of course I couldn’t take it. I cried as well
To be a mother is full of sacrifice…. I thank God for giving the wonderful gifts in this world.. my tiny treasures.
Recently, I got early phone call to a dear friend of mind Chelo who stop working in lieu of her two daughter bianca and Sofia. It is very clear to me why she decided to stop from work and be one of those so many stay a home mom back then. She sacrifice her good job in able to protect her two daughter from any sex offenders in their place. According to her, tracking through Illinois sex offender reports made her felt secure for her two tiny treasures. She can now have a peaceful mind and can even back to work.

Measles

Ellen Says:It remains one of the leading causes of death among young children globally, despite the availability of a safe and effective vaccine. An estimated 164 000 people died from measles in 2008 – mostly children under the age of five.
The first sign of measles is usually a high fever, which begins about 10 to 12 days after exposure to the virus, and lasts four to seven days. A runny nose, a cough, red and watery eyes, and small white spots inside the cheeks can develop in the initial stage. After several days, a rash erupts, usually on the face and upper neck. Over about three days, the rash spreads, eventually reaching the hands and feet. The rash lasts for five to six days, and then fades. On average, the rash occurs 14 days after exposure to the virus (within a range of seven to 18 days).
Severe measles is more likely among poorly nourished young children, especially those with insufficient vitamin A, or whose immune systems have been weakened by HIV/AIDS or other diseases.
Most measles-related deaths are caused by complications associated with the disease. Complications are more common in children under the age of five, or adults over the age of 20. The most serious complications include blindness, encephalitis (an infection that causes brain swelling), severe diarrhoea and related dehydration, ear infections, or severe respiratory infections such as pneumonia. As high as 10% of measles cases result in death among populations with high levels of malnutrition and a lack of adequate health care.
People who recover from measles are immune for the rest of their lives

Glorify pictures
Ellen Says: The choice of frame will have a great impact on the appearance of the picture. It is definitely the frame that gives to picture its known window effect, inviting us to peep into a different reality. In fact it is such a natural accompaniment to picture that the sudden absence of art framing gave in itself to picture an important and surprising new dimension.
Individuals who greatly undervalue the importance of an aesthetically pleasing frame - shame on you! Pairing a prized picture with a cheap and junky frame not only cheapens the picture but also the entire room.
Nevertheless, it's easy for anyone to overlook the importance of the right frame. But of course we unwilling shell out an extra money for an exquisite accompaniment to our son's graduation picture. If we do choose to hang a bad frame, we might as well just punch a hole in the wall and call it a day.
Many of us take great care in hanging pictures and getting them straight, so why not pay more attention to the frames? It goes without saying that dull, cheap, or ugly frames definitely stand out and even detract from the beautiful pictures that they display. It's the right time to begin shopping for frames that actually glorify pictures.

Beat the heat
Ellen Says: This summer is not going to pass like the usual summer because year 2010 is known to be hottest year ever. The combination of global warming and the El Niño weather phenomenon makes this year hotter than any other year. So your expectations of summer heat will probably be higher than the usual summer.
As a public awareness it’s our duty to take care of our health to beat the heat. Here are some quick tips to make it up for the heat.
Basically we tend to expose more of our body to sun especially during summer which results in the loss of water from our body by process of draining (Sweat) and so there is a lack of resistance and energy. So maintaining the body water level is very important.
The simple best way to prevent your eye from heat exposure is to wear sunglasses. But if your sunglasses are not worth to protect your eyes from UV rays then throw it out. Already due to the depletion of Ozone layer, we are highly prone to UV rays, so the next times when you wear sunglasses make sure it protects you from UV rays.
In taking plenty of liquid foods like Juice, sodas, beer, shakes, WATER.
It is better to avoid heavy and fatty foods especially those which are oily.
Fruits are the best active energy agents that keep you active ever. As we all know a famous quote “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” fruits like grapes, watermelon keeps your body cool and regulate the heat.
Non-vegetarian foods should be avoided. Do not eat out-side or street cooked foods, try to switch for fresh and green vegetables at least for this summer.
Also summer heat makes your hair brittle leading to hair damage. Try to use hair moisturizes if you don’t use alternative hair polishers like coconut oil, cream, gel etc. Whenever you leave outside, it’s advisory to wear a hat to prevent direct ray exposing your hair. At least carry an umbrella whenever you go outside.
Try to avoid outing always, reduce your travels and air condition your house if possible or try to ventilate at most as possible. For protecting your screen use Sunscreen lotion.
